Speaker: James Passamano, JD

Attorney James Passamano has been practicing law in Houston for almost 20 years. His law practice focuses on issues related health law including the application or appeal of an application for private long term disability benefits. Long term disability benefits are offered by some employers and provide a monthly cash benefit to those employees who become unable to work due to serious medical condition. It is important to have a strong application for benefits. A denial of benefits can be appealed but often takes many months or even years. You will not want to miss this opportunity to learn how to file a strong application and learn what the legal standards are for review on appeal. Mr. Passamano will also talk about Social Security benefits, rules related to part time work while on benefits and Social Security benefit reviews.

A light lunch & refreshments will be served.
